Feature Friday: Lunch Emails

I know, I know. It’s Friday, which means that you’re all waiting with bated breath for ANDERSON Feature Friday. Don’t worry. I’m here to deliver. So settle in, folks!

Now you might remember our little video holiday card, which allowed our Account Coordinator, Lauren, and I to show some of our comedy-writing prowess. From the feedback we got on it, we’re fairly certain (most of) you found it funny. Thank you, by the way!

This week for Feature Friday I was more than happy to volunteer my blogging services in the name of showcasing some of the agency’s funnier moments from AC Lauren. The excellence I’m here to commend has come in the form of Lauren’s daily lunchtime emails, sent each day to remind the team to please cover the phones while she dashes out on her next mid-day adventure.

What started out as a simple “Hey guys, can you answer the phone while I run out?” has evolved into an email that most — if not all — of us look forward to every day. In short – they’re hilarious and unique. Every. Single. Day.

The ANDERSON team is packed full of some extraordinary talent, and we really believe our work is benefitted by the team’s collective sense of humor – something we hope you picked up from that holiday video, and that we’re sure you’ll see from the sampling of our daily email treats below.

Below you’ll find screen shots of some of our favorite Lauren (aka @lstreiff / Lo Lo Bird / Lo) lunchtime emails. We hope you enjoy them as much as we have.

That last email links to this gem of a music video.

See you guys next week!

Feature Friday: Munchkinland

Hello! Happy Friday to you all! It has been a beautiful week, I hope you’ve been enjoying the (slightly) cooler fall weather like everyone here at ANDERSON has!

This week for #FeatureFriday we wanted to share a contest we are running with KEZ 99.9 for our client Theater League in search of a munchkin!

Theater League is the national Broadway presenter for both the Mesa Arts Center & Orpheum Theater and this year the first show of their season is The Wizard of Oz.

The show will be in Mesa, December 6th-7th & Phoenix, December 8th-11th

When Dorothy comes to town in December she will be joined by a lucky little (literally) Phoenician who gets a walk-on role in the show!

The ‘Valley’s Next Top Munchkin’ contest is easy to enter, entrants just need to submit a video showcasing their munchkin skills ie their ability to sing in unison, dance and have lots of enthusiasm and expression! The winner will then get the chance to be the one and only walk on role joining the other munchkin cast for Theater League’s production of Wizard of Oz.

Basic Requirements for the Valley’s Next Top Munchkin Entrants:
- Age: 8-13 years old.
- Height Maximum: 5′ (five feet tall)
- Weight Maximum: 100 lbs
- A variety of shapes and sizes within the parameters are encouraged.
- Selected “Munchkin” winner will need to be available for at least six rehearsals with Greasepaint Youtheatre in preparation for their role as a Munchkin in the live performance of Theater League’s production of The Wizard of Oz.

Interested in entering? Check out the contest page here!

You can also get tickets for the Mesa shows here and the Orpheum performances here : )

Feature Friday

Hello again! It’s time for another addition of #FeatureFriday !

This week we have a little preview for the upcoming production of Wizard of Oz presented by Theater League, the national Broadway presenter for both the Mesa Arts Center (MAC) in downtown Mesa and the Orpheum Theater in Phoenix. Dorothy will be crashing down in Oz this December.

We are excited to be working with Theater League to promote their entire season, both at MAC and Orpheum Theater in the coming months you will be seeing television spots and hearing radio promotions as well.

Theater League has a very diverse set of shows this season, with Wizard of Oz, The Rat Pack is Back, My Fair Lady, and Rock of Ages, there really is something for every one!

Follow the yellow brick road to get your individual show tickets! (or click here for MAC tickets or here for Phoenix Orpheum tickets)

Cheers!
