Fashionably Pink

Last night Lauren Streiff and I attended Phoenix Fashion Week’s kick off “Fashionably Pink” event at the MIM to be in full support of our client Mayo Clinic, one of the sponsors of the event. Pam McCall, a Mayo Clinic employee and Breast Cancer Survivor, represented Mayo Clinic on the catwalk which was shared with other Emerging Models and local celebrities. She did a fantastic job of representing Mayo and other Survivors as well as, of course, strutting her designer wear!

The event, supporting Breast Cancer awareness, was an overall hit. Everyone looked fabulous and the designers and models were smashing! It was a crazy Pepto Bismol explosion of pink!

It’s amazing how inspiring it can be to watch strong women who have beat something as life-changing as Breast Cancer come out on top as the Survivors have who participated in the event. Many of them talked about how Breast Cancer changed them for the better, and how much more precious life has become. Stopping to smell the flowers took on a whole new meaning for them.

Here is a glimpse below of some of the participants from last night, each Breast Cancer Survivors and incredible women (Pam is on the far right):

Don’t forget this Sunday, October 9th is the annual Susan G Komen Race for the Cure!
